LINJA is a musician, producer, and DJ from the Ural Mountains. Jaro worked with such labels as Malka Tuti, Calypso, Hard Fist, Serenades, I’m a Cliché and etc. Also you can hear his alias Friend’s Jacuzzi and The Papers and Urals City Jam.

Until recently, Jaro lived in Moscow but has now moved to Spain. He actively releases his music. In fall 2020, he released two albums - one on vinyl called Velvet Noise on Malka Tuti, and the second on cassette called Street Noises. Last year, his record was released on the Mexican label Calypso, and he also remixed Kito Jempere and released a psychedelic track on the new Avidya label. In his music, Iaroslav experiments with analog synthesis, environmental sounds, and acoustic instruments.

Describing Iaroslav's work in one sentence is not easy; he loves complex heavy electronics, balancing on the verge of slow electro, rave rhythms, elements of kraut music, catchy acid lines, inclusions of exotic ethnicity, as well as abstract noise experiments, acoustic sounds of orchestral instruments, and everything in between - from ambient to classical and traces of 90s house music.

During his many years of musical activity, Jaroslav has played as a DJ in cult clubs throughout Russia, including his favorite the BLANK club in St. Petersburg, Simachev bar and Mutabor in Moscow. He has performed his music at the Red Bull Music Festival, BOSCO Fresh Fest, FORMA, Synthposium, Signal festivals in Moscow, as well as at parties hosted by the Resonance Moscow community, System 108 and ARMA17.

In addition to his solo work, LINJA has collaborated with other musicians and artists, and has composed music for film and other visual media. With his innovative sound and growing fanbase, LINJA is definitely an artist to watch in the electronic music scene.
