Emilio represents the vanguard of the Montevideo sound. Coming up under none other than the Uruguayan master DJ Koolt, Emilio’s DJing embodies his hometown’s ethos - unhurried and seamless mixing of rare and undiscovered dance floor gems. Darting between sinister techno and dreamy hints of house, his music is equal parts cerebral and visceral, psychedelic and groovy.
Emilio holds a residency at Phonotheque, but since moving to Barcelona, he’s also been hugely responsible for bringing the Montevideo aesthetic to Europe. He’s now a fixture across the underground circuit, playing regularly at clubs like Fold, Closer, and CDV. After his years spent apprenticing with some of clubland’s best, expect deeper than deep cuts with a machine-like bite.
